  • Historic Downtown Hillsborough has lots of free public parking. The closest is the FREE parking deck beside Weaver Street Market.

    **Please help us in being good neighbors — DO NOT park in the spaces behind Volume Records & Beer. The spaces are privately owned and are reserved for Volume.

  • Due to the safety concens, it is our policy to prohibit non-service animals from entering the store.

    Art stores typically house various items such as sharp tools, fragile materials, and potentially toxic substances. Allowing non-service animals may pose a risk to both the animals and other customers, as unexpected reactions or behavior could lead to accidents or injuries. We appreciate your understanding and observance of this policy.

    The only exception to this policy is that a small dog is contained to an owners arms the entire duration of the visit, during which the owner accepts all liability for damage to goods, or injury in any way to their animal or others caused by interaction with their animal.

  • Yes! We have reusable Gift Cards as well as paper Gift Certificates, as you would prefer for your giving needs.

  • As we are brand new, we are building the smartest inventory we can. That means selling things that our customers want, but we may not have a huge selection within categories. We WILL have super high quality merchandise, so what we do offer you can trust. We also have limited space right now, but hope to carry a wider selection of goods as we grow!

  • Absolutely! Call, come in or email us to let us know what you’re looking for and we’ll do our best to track it down and order it.

    Larger special orders will receive a discount, baring they meet order minimums.

  • High School and Advanced Education (Community College, Trade, University, etc) are eligible for a 10% discount with valid/active Student ID.

  • At Anne & Arthur, we value your satisfaction with our products and services. We understand that sometimes, situations may arise where you need to return a product. Please review our refund policy below to ensure a smooth return process.

    Returns for Unopened, Unused Products:

    - We accept returns for unopened and unused products within 30 days of your purchase.

    - The product must be in its original packaging and in the same condition as when it was purchased.

    - Returns should include a valid proof of purchase, such as a receipt or order confirmation.

    Returns for Defective or Compromised Quality Items:

    - You may return products within 30 days if they are defective or their quality is compromised.

    - The items should have been stored properly and not subjected to any damage while in your ownership. Please do not expose items to extreme conditions, such as leaving them in a hot car.

    - Canvas products should be unmarked and clean.

    - Returns for defective or compromised quality items also require a valid proof of purchase.

    The Nature of Shopping with a Local Retailer:

    - As a local retailer, we take pride in our connection with the community and our commitment to customer satisfaction.

    - We aim to be understanding and reasonable when it comes to returns, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

    - Returns are ultimately at the discretion of the owner, who will consider each situation on a case-by-case basis.

    How to Initiate a Return:

    1. Please visit our store within 30 days of your purchase, along with the product and a valid proof of purchase.

    2. Our staff will evaluate the item's condition and the reason for the return.

    3. We will provide you with further instructions and process your return accordingly.

  • Yes! Anne & Arthur is an approved retailer with Orange County Schools (NC) and we will work with you to place special orders.

    If you are with a different school system, contact info@anneandarthur and we will help get retailer approval in your district.

    Distributor Minimums do apply and we will work with you to put your order together.
